Take the Wrestling Takes Down Drugs Challenge

I acknowledge that opioids and related drugs are addictive and dangerous to my body and mind. I pledge to stay clear from any of these addictive drugs while I focus all my attention on becoming the best possible wrestler that I can be through the 2021-2022 wrestling season.

Wrestlers Unite to Take Down Drugs.

The mission of the Wrestling Takes Down Drugs® campaign is to expand and strengthen our local wrestling programs to build self-esteem necessary to avoid the temptation of drug and alcohol abuse.

Some of the most esteemed athletes in the U.S. back our cause… you can too!

Wrestling doesn’t just strengthen you physically, but it helps you in the classroom as well. It builds self-esteem and the ability to apply greater focus on your goals…both athletic and academic. I am a supporter of the Wrestling Takes Down Drugs® campaign in order to send a message to students that you can avoid the devastation of drugs.

I grew up on Long Island and I am grateful for the positive influence wrestling had on my life. It is difficult to now watch the devastating impact that drugs are inflicting in our communities. I believe that wrestling can help make a difference by empowering young people to stay away from the temptation of drugs.

You Can Make a Difference

At Wrestling Takes Down Drugs®, we’re not quick fix people. We believe we’ve got to be ready to journey for the long haul, and monthly givers allow us to do just that. Because of regular donors, we can show up for children and young adults month after month.
